Shortfall In Generating Capacity Caused Power Outage Says JPS

The Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) says a shortfall in its electricity generating capacity was the reason for some customers being without power last evening. The light and power company said that it was forced to initiate loadshedding in some areas, customers were urged to conserved on power to reduce shortfall. The affected parishes include: Kingston, St Catherine, St Elizabeth, Hanover and St James.

Gun Man Shot And Killed By Licensed Firearm Holder

A robber was shot and killed on Saturday by a licensed firearm holder in the May Pen area. The incident happened along the Bustamante Highway near the Rio Minho Bridge pathway.
