Despite his apology to soothe tempers of upset residents of Mt. Salem in Montego Bay, St. James- the first location of the ongoing Zone of Special Operation (ZOSO) – Omar Sweeney, Deputy Chairman of the Social Intervention Committee operating there continues to face severe backlash over his comments last Thursday in New Kingston that 85 per cent of  young women in Mount Salem, are engaged in some form of prostitution.

In a follow up statement, he revised the figure to 70 per cent, seeking to clarify that the girls were not all engaged in prostitution.
